Tank Blanketing
D300 - Blanketing Pressure Regulator
The D300-G self-actuated lever-operated direct-acting regulators are ideal for low-pressure applications such as blanketing. They are engineered to precisely control the set outlet pressure, regardless of variations in inlet pressure and flow rate. These blanketing pressure regulators offer an economical solution for maintaining high accuracy in low-pressure process requirements.
Blanketing pressure regulators are typically used to maintain a predetermined pressure set point in a vessel or tank. The movement occurs as pressure variations register below the diaphragm in the regulator. The registering pressure corresponds to the outlet or tank/vessel pressure. The spring's loading pressure opposes the diaphragm's movement, which is transmitted to the stem via the lever.
As the tank/vessel pressure drops due to consumption in the process, the spring force pushes the diaphragm down, causing the stem to move up and open the port. When the tank/vessel pressure is restored, the diaphragm is pushed up, the stem moves down, and the port closes, stopping the flow.
Features
Blanketing Application: Specifically designed for use in both corrosive and non-corrosive environments, such as chemical and pharmaceutical industries, for inertization of storage tanks, centrifuges, reactors, and vessels. Its compact design and bottom inlet make installation straightforward and cost-effective.
Accurate Low-Pressure Regulation: The lever-type construction transmits diaphragm movement into precise orifice openings, even at very low pressures, ensuring a consistent fuel gas supply to burners, gas trains, furnaces, and more.
Easy Maintenance: The unique design allows for quick and easy maintenance and inspection of the regulator internals.
Appropriate Material Range: A variety of materials are available to suit corrosive solvents stored in vessels and various utility gases. NACE-compatible materials are also available for sour gas applications.
Tamper-Resistant Adjustment: The cap and adjusting screw discourage on-site tampering of the pressure setting.
Load Absorbing Diaphragm Assembly: The special load-absorbing diaphragm assembly prevents diaphragm failure during malfunction, providing safety against fluid leakage into the atmosphere.
Wide Set Range for Various Applications: The design is compatible with set pressures ranging from 50 mmWC to 750 mBar, catering to various applications and process requirements.
